Spicy Sesame Udon Noodles with Beef and Vegetables

Ingredients

  • 400g beef sirloin or flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 400g Sun Hee Udon Noodles, cooked according to package instructions
  • 200g broccoli florets
  • 1 red pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 carrot, julienned
  • 3 tablespoons Sun Hee Sesame Wok Oil
  • 2 tablespoons Thai Dragon Sweet Chilli Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Sun Hee Light Soy Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Sun Hee Gangnam Kimchi Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Sun Hee Chilli Flakes (adjust to taste)
  • 2 tablespoons Sun Hee Toasted Sesame Seeds
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Spring onions, sliced (for garnish)

Instructions

    • Cook udon noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
    • Season beef slices with salt, pepper, and 1 tablespoon of Sesame Oil.
    • Heat 1 tablespoon of Sesame Oil in a wok or large pan over medium-high heat.
    • Add the seasoned beef and stir-fry until cooked to your liking, about 4-5 minutes. Set aside.
    • In the same wok, add another tablespoon of Sesame Oil.
    • Stir-fry broccoli, pepper, and carrot until slightly tender, about 4-5 minutes.
    • Add the cooked udon noodles to the wok with the vegetables.
    • Drizzle with the remaining Sesame Oil, Sweet Chilli Sauce and Light Soy Sauce.
    • Pour the Gangnam Kimchi Sauce and Chilli Flakes over the noodles and vegetables.
    • Toss everything together until well combined, and the noodles are heated through, about 3-4 minutes.
    • Add the cooked beef back into the wok, tossing to combine with the noodles and vegetables. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to heat through.
    • Transfer to serving plates and garnish with Toasted Sesame Seeds and sliced spring onions.
    • Adjust the level of spiciness by modifying the amount of Chilli Flakes.
