Grilled Ssamjang Chicken with Sesame-Soy Noodles

Ingredients

For the Ssamjang Chicken:

  • 300g boneless, skinless chicken thighs
  • 2 tablespoons Sun Hee Ssamjang paste
  • 1 tablespoon Sun Hee Sesame Wok Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Sun Hee Light Soy Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • Sesame seeds and chopped spring onions for garnish

For the Sesame-Soy Noodles:

  • 200g noodles (ramen, udon, or your choice), cooked according to package instructions
  • 1 tablespoon Sun Hee Sesame Wok Oil
  • 1 tablespoon Sun Hee Light Soy Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • Sun Hee Chilli Flakes (optional, for added heat)
  • Sun Hee Sesame Seeds and chopped spring onions for garnish

Instructions

    • Preheat your grill or grill pan.
    • In a bowl, mix ssamjang paste, sesame oil, soy sauce, honey, and minced garlic.
    • Coat the chicken thighs with the ssamjang mixture, ensuring they are well-marinated. Let it sit for at least 10 minutes.
    • Grill the chicken thighs for about 5-7 minutes per side or until fully cooked.
    • Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped spring onions.
    • In a bowl, mix sesame oil, soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, and grated ginger to create the sauce.
    • Toss the cooked noodles in the sauce until well coated.
    • If desired, sprinkle red chilli flakes for added heat.
    • Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped spring onions.
    • Plate the grilled chicken alongside the sesame-soy noodles & garnish with additional sesame seeds and spring onions.
    • Serve immediately.
